The brief
“The Desert House” is conceived as a tribute to the silent القوة and raw beauty of the Saudi desert. The concept embraces neutrality as a form of strength, creating a space where simplicity becomes immersive and profound. Guests are invited to disconnect from excess and reconnect with essential sensations (light, silence, and vastness) transforming their stay into a contemplative and grounding experience.
The architecture follows a minimalist language, shaped by clean lines, monolithic volumes, and a restrained material palette inspired by sand, stone, and sun. Spaces are designed to frame the desert rather than compete with it, using light, shadow, and openness to create a powerful spatial rhythm. Interiors remain intentionally quiet, allowing textures, proportions, and natural tones to evoke a sense of calm, depth, and timeless elegance.
